Mara and Paul Shelton founded Tobacco Wood Brewing Company in September of 2018; North Carolina’s first female, veteran owned brewery. The Shelton’s have been a very important part of the growth of Oxford downtown social growth.Their vision was to make TWBC an inviting and inclusive space for all. While they have stepped away from the company to pursue new endeavors, Tobacco Wood Brewing Company’s vision has not changed, and still strives to be a welcoming space for all walks of life, as well continues to honor and highlight the men and women of our armed forces whether they are veterans or active duty.
